"My children are proud of me for becoming a Tutor"

I used to work at a school and kindergarten in Korea. I love teaching and meeting new people, but I lost my confidence when I came to Australia because I was unable to find a job. My children are still little, and I do not have any relatives to support me here.

My situation totally changed when I started HIPPY, first as a parent then as a HIPPY Tutor. I learnt how to teach my child and I learnt about the Australian education system; I have gained more self-confidence.

One day, my son who did HIPPY and is now seven years old, asked: “Are you a HIPPY Tutor?”. When I said “Yes”, he said “I am so proud of you mum!”

I am so happy that my sons are proud of me and that I am able to help other HIPPY families. Our HIPPY families trust me and are keen to learn about how to use the HIPPY packs to teach their children, and to share ideas and information. Sometimes they ask about problems, and I love to share my experiences.
